You will get a handout BEFORE you begin reading. Discuss and complete the first side of the page; all of the information in the first 9 questions were answered in the reading portion from yesterday. This should take between 10 and 15 minutes. After that,continue reading the script (period 1 will begin on page 39, the other two classes will begin on page 40). We have had students reading different parts for each character and it has been going well. I have a copy of the script in room 620 with sticky-notes on it with names; most of the characters for today’s portion are already assigned. Those of you not reading for a character must still follow along as your classmates read as characters. After you reach page 45, discuss the back side of the handout and respond to the questions. TURN IN the handouts before leaving. English 2 Honors Take the first 10 minutes to finish identifying the different components of an argument within the text “An Indian Father’s Plea.” The highlighters are in the box on the counter on the far side of the room. After you have finished that task, they are to begin a stylistic analysis of the same text. Those directions are in the following document The journal entries are to be done independently. Stylistic Analysis Family Health Students are finishing a research project on an assigned drug. You get this ONE warning: if anyone misuses the computers today, that individual will have computer privileges revoked and must put their device back. Use the technology responsibly. This is the LAST DAY to research and prepare for tomorrow’s presentations. If you feel like they’re done with your slides, run through your presentation with another group to make sure everything makes sense.
